Prologue to PTL - Team Wolfpack

La Petite Trotte A Leon - The Little Trot in Leon

6 day cut off. 300+km with an immense 25.ooo+m of ascent and descent. "The course changes every year and allows for runners to discover the rich diversity of the French, Italian and Swiss trails of the Mont Blanc massif"

Rich, an avid trail runner, had been pushing his limits by participating in various ultra races. His love for the sport led him to complete the challenging UTMB in 2019, a grueling 107-mile mountain race around Mont Blanc.

During his UTMB journey, Rich kept crossing paths with Andy, an accomplished ultra runner who had conquered renowned races like Western States, Marathon des Sables, and UTMB. Andy, however, had yet to conquer the Petite Trot à Léon (PTL), after attempts in 2019 and 2022.

PTL 2023 Profile

With a burning desire to take on the PTL one final time, Andy approached Rich, asking if he had entertained the idea of tackling this extraordinary challenge. United by their shared enthusiasm, Rich agreed to accompany Andy and run with Team Wolfpack and sought one more member to complete their team. The search led Andy to David, a skilled French trail runner whose passion for the mountains matched their own.

Team Wolfpack successfully secured a spot in the highly anticipated PTL 2023 race.
